Dungeon Level introduction

Soon a whole new Skill Level ( SL ) system will be implemented into Dotalicious.
The dungeon is now open!

The reason for this is that we have grown so much lately and our old system is no longer optimal for such a large user base.

The new system is nearly finished but still needs more work as well as testing. The first step though is introducing a completely new area of play which we are calling "the Dungeon".

What the Dungeon is and what it's for:
The dungeon is only for banned players.

Anyone who is time banned from DLG due to various offenses are forced to play their games somewhere else. This in reality is both bad for us since we lose those players as well as being bad for them since they don't really care about the ban enough not to try more actively to avoid it. Banning players is an old and outdated system employed by other platforms for many years but has never actually been a good system for anyone since this really only works when there are limited places to play your games.
By introducing this area banned players can play with other banned players so they still get to use our platform but completely without stat tracking or any other benefits. All players will be auto muted in Dungeon games as well as it only allowing MM games to avoid banned mates abusing it. This will also make games start much faster for the sake of activity. Eventually we might allow non banned players to play in the dungeon as well but only under certain circumstances but this will come later.

If you fill one or more of the below criteria you will be automatically excluded from playing public games and instead will only be able to play in our dungeon:
  • People who are banned less than 25 days but more than 0 days.
  • People who have 6 or more active penalties

This is the same as before when it comes to bans. Banned players simply couldn't play at all.
Now though players without bans but with a high amount of active penalties will also be considered unworthy and cast off into the Dungeon to play their games instead of letting them mix with our law abiding citizens.

This is a brief explanation and mostly a heads up about it incoming.
Exact details and a further explanation will be added once we implement it so stay tuned!

Make sure you follow our Twitter and Facebook for daily updates and news

Extended Explanation:
  • No statistics will be tracked
  • Everyone is automatically muted in-game to avoid flame wars
  • It's not supposed to be moderated or even enjoyable there. It's simply so you can crush your dota addiction while being banned.
  • Only banned players can play there
  • You get put in the Dungeon when you have more than 6 active penalties (Not penalty points but actual separate penalties)
    Or
When you are banned for up to 25 days. More than 25 day bans and you can't even play in the Dungeon

How about you make the dungeon worth the prisoners time? Some do not leave on purpose but due to power/computer and sometimes internet issues they end up leaving, yet I do not ask for mercy neither am I trying to find excuse for the crime we committed. What I have is a simple suggestion, a contest, if thats how you wanna put it through, to filter those who did not leave on purpose, have a different stat counter for them prisoners and the top 10 would get some kind of "get out of jail free card". This way, the dungeon would actually be, uh, a rehabilitation place, instead of stacking the prison with prisoners, make them useful to this community again. Just a suggestion, I hope you do get what I mean.

Think this kind of penalty it's so stupid.. was so much better on dleague where admin chose about ban if player leave on purpose or get disconnected for internet\power down.
Also there low check for multiaccount, in game people talk about "no problem if they ban me, just make another account". I'm fair and i don't wanna do this; but banned 2 days for 2 internet interruption it's rly unbelievable!
