How to counter hero x alone

I've heard the standard counter vs Pitlord is Venge. If Pitlord turtles the enemies base just swap him and exchange Venge for him, after that your team can push.
Otherwise I think every Pusher can hold the lane against him like Kotl or Pugna.

A Lion with dagger is strong and disable is one of the best things in Dota, but I fear against an enraged Naix he won't do much - same with Lycan, if you visit him in jungle, you may end up dying cause of his wolves. And stun, voodoo + ulti just isn't enough for this hp hero. Against Omniknight, yeah, you might hate him in early, but in 5on5s he will just repel the most important hero. So Lion may be a good hero, but a counter... I don't think so.

also blink instant hex > rage, naix would have need of wards or other vision and a pretty big potion of luck to just rage 0.1 secs before lion blinks in

With dagger and ghost scepter it might work, but to farm these items with Lion isn't easy

i found a great counter vs Spectre: Abbadon. It doesnt matter if Abbadon is low hp. He can attack Spectre during his Ultimate and spectre dont need attack abbadon cause of dispurtion abbadon heals his self. This is only possible if you play abbadon as a semi-carry i think. he also dont need much items like Spectre does. Try it out. Prefer a Vladimirs and a Strong Hardcarry in your Team. Abbadon shield can protect your mates and yourself for Spectre return dmg, while you attack him. Stunner dont interest you cause you can shield your carry to remove stun buff. Everyone knows how Abba works i think. His Ulti can annoy spectre the whole game

Well, Spectre's strength is the ability to join every battle even if she is far away, to be able to kill one hero on the map solo (if she has diffu) and to deal lots of damage because of her skills.
Abba won't die if Spectre attacks him alone, in teamfights he CAN attack Spectre because of his ulti, Spectre WILL let explode the shield on any hero (since she can't deactivate her return skill), he can help his allies escape/survive her ulti... I think Abbadon isn't bad against Spectre.
I don't know if you can call him a counter, since Spectre still can kill allies far away and still deals much damage to Abbadon's team... but I think I would be glad to have an Abbadon in my team against Spectre ^^
